Transition expresses both a physical and psychological experience using visual metaphors within the landscape.

At a point of transition my feelings of uncertainty and the unknown led me to stand in front of the sea, a dynamic living subject matter that is in a constant state of change. Like life it is an on-going pulsating movement, a struggle and an effort. It is here I tried to find me, contemplating my projection forward Lucy Hill.

Although the work is about a personal experience Lucy hopes the work rises above the personal level and creates a shared experience that we all feel when faced with the sea.

I hope to evoke a sensory experience which makes the viewer feel present, for example by looking at the images you hear the waves and their regularity; you feel the wind, the smell and taste of the salt. I also hope it emphasizes the broader terrain of space and time, thoughts, feelings and moods Lucy Hill.
